RYA Personal Watercraft Instructor Course

Course Description

Personal Watercraft (PW) Instructors are experienced PW drivers who have been trained and assessed to run the RYA’s Personal Watercraft Proficiency Course and the Introduction to PW Safety course, which is for guests on Superyacht charter holidays. The course is run be an RYA PW Trainer and assessed by an independent Trainer with a moderation on the third day. Candidates who are already qualified as an RYA Powerboat Instructor may attend a one day conversion course, rather than the full three day course.

Prerequisities

Candidates must have 2 years of PW experience or one season of working with PWC's.
RYA Personal Watercraft Proficiency certificate (if you don’t already hold your PWC license but have at least 1 seasons jet skiing experience you can join our PWCI package)
First Aid Certificate
RYA Membership (this can be completed at the Zephyr Office)

Ability after the course

The qualification will be valid for Five years from the date of issue, provided that a valid first aid certificate is maintained.
