RYA Helmsman Course

Course Information

This course is the beginning of the motor cruiser scheme, its alot like the powerboat level 2 except on a sports rib, its the first step to driving a motor cruiser. Its aim is to teach boat safety, helmsmanship and boat handling with twin screwed engines on a 13-14m crusier.

With an introduction to engine maintenance and This course is ideal for new owners conscious of the difficulty and hazards of boat handling in the marina.

It is useful for crews as well as skippers. Apart from the obvious safety benefits of extra boat handlers on board, it adds interest if everyone can contribute to the trip.
